The summer of 1930, Harlem, New York.

A found family of passionate and aspirational individuals each carry their identities and burdens through the prejudices and economic hardships of the time. When their fragile stability is disrupted, and opposing beliefs challenge their dreams, Delia, Guy, Sam and Angel each further explore their place in society, beyond their friendship and beyond Harlem. In the end, some move forward and some are held back.
