A raised bog in the Northern Irish lowlands. Winter, 1978. Dawn to dusk.
A story about the unkindness and cruelty of human beings by nature, the interminable cycle of pain, trauma and neglect imparted onto each generation, and how much it takes to break free of it. On this day, her final day, Hester claims her own destiny and breaks free of the perpetual tragedy by suffering one last time.
